The board of Coaching Highland is made up of 5 Directors, a Company Secretary and 3 Observers.  The Directors are elected by the company’s members who are actually the 8 local sports councils in the Highland Council boundary.

Angus Dick

An honorary life member of Inverness Harriers, Angus is the immediate past Chair of the Highland Sports Development Association, current Chair of the Highland Institute of Sport and was the Chair of the former Gael Force Ten project.  He also sits on the board of the Highland Football Academy.

Hugh Mackay
Vice Chair

A former Chair of the Scottish Police Curling Association and Vice Chair of the former Gael Force Ten project, Hugh is currently Chair of the Highland Curling Development Group.  He was also the former Vice Chair of the Highland Sports Development Association and Treasurer for Ross & Cromarty Sports Council.  He currently plays for Caberfeidh Curling Club and is a Director on the Board of the Inverness Ice Centre.

Tom Jackson
Finance Director

A member of Thurso Golf Club, Tom is Chair of Caithness Sports Council on which he represents Thurso Youth Club and is the sports council representative on the Highland Sports Development Association aswell as being a Director of Caithness Sports Facilities Ltd.

Dougie MacDonald
Sport/Coaching Development Director

Holding a post graduate certificate in Sport, Leisure & Physical Education, Dougie is Senior Lecturer in Sport at Inverness College UHI.  He tutors for Sports Coach UK and Scottish Athletics and holds a variety of coaching awards.  Dougie is also a life member of Maryhill Harriers and the Glasgow University Sports Association as well as still competing in local and national athletics and playing hockey with Balintore Hockey Club.

Peter Bowen
Marketing & Communication Director 

A Cricket Coach and keen player at Ross County Cricket Club, Peter runs his own business based in Strathpeffer (Media Promotion Production Management) having worked in the advertising, PR and design industry for some 30 years.  He has developed and managed communications campaigns for major public and private sector clients.

Our Company Secretary is Messrs Macleod & MacCallum, 28 Queensgate, Inverness, IV1 1YN - normal contact Douglas Graham.

In addition, the Board welcomes 3 Observers to the meetings who advise and contribute to discussions.  They represent the 3 main funding partners of Coaching Highland:
