Directors

The board of Coaching Highland is made up of 5 Directors, a Company Secretary and 3 Observers. The Directors are elected by the company’s members who are the 8 local sports councils in the Highland Council area.

	Angus Dick Chair An honorary life member of Inverness Harriers, Angus is the immediate past Chair of the Highland Sports Development Association, current Chair of the Highland Institute of Sport and was the Chair of the former Gael Force Ten project. He also sits on the board of the Highland Football Academy.
	Elizabeth Barron Vice Chair Curriculum Manager (Sport & Science) at Inverness College UHI, Elizabeth has become heavily involved in the promotion and co-ordination of sports activities. She represents the College at Inverness Area Sports Council, the Highland Sports Development Association and on the committee of Scotland's Colleges Sport.
TBC	Vacant George Verhaere stood down as Director in December 2009 - a replacment is being sought.
	Dougie MacDonald Holding a post graduate certificate in Sport, Leisure & Physical Education, Dougie was formerly a Senior Lecturer in Sport at Inverness College UHI. He tutors for Sports Coach UK and Scottish Athletics and holds a variety of coaching awards. Dougie is also a life member of Maryhill Harriers and the Glasgow University Sports Association as well as still competing in local and national athletics and playing hockey with Balintore Hockey Club.
	Peter Bowen A Cricket Coach and keen player at Ross County Cricket Club, Peter runs his own business based in Strathpeffer (Media Promotion Production Management) having worked in the advertising, PR and design industry for some 30 years. He has developed and managed communications campaigns for major public and private sector clients.

In addition, the Board welcomes 3 Observers to the meetings who advise and contribute to discussions. They represent the 2 main funding partners of Coaching Highland:
